Purpose of the Page
We would like to give credit and appreciation to all the teams that have participated in this year's National Design Challenge, as well as establish that Next Gen Engineering is a place for collaboration and open-source information. We seek to do this by sharing the hard work of those who were involved in these projects.
Below you can find the names of teams that have submitted complete projects to Next Gen Engineering, as a part of the National Design Challenge and all the relevant information and work they did for the National Design Challenge: Project Re-Mask as a downloadable and viewable file. They are available in the order they were received. We do ask that you do not take credit for the works of others or submit someone else's work as your own. We do allow and encourage you to share your project through the submission process described below and share your project with your community as well. This is a creative space for everyone to share ideas through project submissions and innovate the designs of projects that came before with proper credit to those projects.

Next Gen Eng. | eli^2We are a group of 14 students from UCF that want to take what we have learned and apply it to real world problems. Next Gen Engineering is a group focused on collaboration, innovation, and outreach into our community. Through our organization we challenge other engineering groups and schools to create new and innovative advancements in their communities.
Next Gen Engineering was the organization that coordinated with eli2, independent students, and our organization. Through coordination with these other organizations, we assigned tasks and overviewed the quality of the work being completed. Once a portion of the project was completed it was passed to a Next Gen Engineering member to review and test to ensure it was quality work that we could pass onto our beneficiaries. Once the project was complete our organization brought the product to our beneficiary and demonstrated to them the proper procedure of how to use it. Our Beneficiary: SALT Outreach In partnership with SALT Outreach, SALT Outreach at UCF strives to provide respect and dignity to Orlando's homeless population. We aim to do that by providing free showers to the homeless people via a mobile shower trailer as well as fresh, clean clothing from a mobile clothing trailer. Additionally, we offer haircut services, free toiletries, health check-ups, STD testing, and vaccinations. As an organization, we aspire to remove barriers to the employment of homeless people by providing interview training and job application assistance to help restore the hope that the homeless population once had. Through the numerous services we offer, we aim to provide students with a unique volunteering experience that will employ their skills for a great cause. In addition, it will provide them with the necessary knowledge to become better leaders.
